How to power a seiko kenetic watch?

I have owned my seiko kenetic watch for close to 6 years now. I have never had a problem with the watch not working since it it powered by my body movement. Lately, I have been inactive and stopped wearing the watch for a few days. Now, when I wear the watch, there is not enough power to keep it running with the correct time. What do I have to do to get it back to normal?

I have the same problem with my watch and all i have to do is shake the watch vigorously for a while
