Soldiers, is it true people in the military watch Fox News more than any other station?

February 28th, 2010 | by admin |

I made a friend who is in the Airforce last night and he told me that most of the people he knows in the military watch Fox more than any other news because he said that they are the ones that tell the truth about Iraq.
Just because they are troops does not mean they are in war. He watches it to see whats going on over in Iraq.

All news channels have bias, be it FOX, CNN, MSNBC, etc..

From My Experiance FOX is the least biased. what Bias it does show is a little right of center. Most all other news agencies run from a little left of center to waaaayyy out in far left kookland.
FOX’s bias comes out when it slams the other agencies and liberal personalities for their Bias. Rosie O’Donnel needs to be slammed. But when FOX is reporting an actuall NEWS ITEM it is very unbiased and reports primarily just the fact of the story. It’s Bias is reserved for bashing the uberidiotic leftwing liberal channels and personalities.

Since the left is very anti-military and the right is pro-military why is anyone surprised when most of our troops and those who TRUELY support them watch FOX?

What happened to consulting multiple sources and then analysing the information to figure out the truth for themselves?

Or is blind partisanism better because it’s simpler?

Funny, it seems to me that BillO hardly even mentions Iraq anymore he is too busying showing clips of Rosie O’Donnell’s comments, coevring "lesbian chic" in the media, whining about obscenity on the HuffPost site, bantering with Geraldo and lamenting how students at Columbia shouted down some crazy bastard minuteman leader (all ACTUAL stories of the past two shows).

Fox is not about covering the news, most of their "stories" are "reporting" about some liberal news outlet’s (or simply a liberal personality) supposed slant.

The whole thing is designed to manufacture outrage.

O’Reilly whined that Rosie’s comments were hurtful to veterans and their families last Thursday. Then on Friday he lamented to Geraldo that Fox was the only outlet to cover her comments (unlike Coulter’s comments). Therefore, many of his listeners who don’t watch The View and were "hurt" by Rosie’s comments never would’ve heard of her comments if not for "Mr. Exploitation and Sensationalism" himself.

they do seem to have the most unbais reporting and try to cover all angles of the stories not just one side. I can’t watch the news it gives me nightmares but if i did, it would be fox.

Foxnews is the news source of preference for sure, they for the most part are much closer to the truth on the ground than the other guys.

Personally, I don’t like any news station… If I had to choose it would be Fox.. Then when you look at footage from Iraq they’re using old crap… It’s getting old.

The ones who have the ability to "watch" TV are most likely the ones who never have to actually fight.

    So..

I wouldnt worry about it if you hate Fox news that much.

My experience working as a civilian on a military (Army) post is that the TV’s in the gym, PX and cafeterias are all tuned to Fox.

    Depends, I guess.

We’re a U.S. army family and HATE FOX news.

    We stick with the BBC.

On post, in waiting rooms, I typically see CNN. Again, I guess it just depends.
