what brand of watch do the military wear ?
January 29th, 2010 | by admin |I want to buy a tough military watch for when I go camping and swimming but a lot of watch companies make "Military Watches" and Im not sure what brand the military actually wear.
The guys wear whatever they want to wear. Hubby has a Timex with an IPOD connection and a Swiss Army Watch.

Get a Seiko chronograph. They take a fair amount of beating before they have problems.

I had a $12.00 timex watch.
You can buy a high cost watch, that will last longer, but still end up broke or lost.
Or buy a cheaper watch, and replace them after they get broke.
Try a timex G-Shock.
They are cheap and rugged.
Just remember, " water resistant "
Does not mean water proof.

My husband always wears Timex- Iron Man… Its fairly cheap so it can be replaced if broken or lost.

As posted above, the Casio G-Shock is a great watch for military. Its easy to use and very rugged. It stays on time for a long time so you won’t have to worry about being late because your watch is off. They also don’t have those stupid Hour Announcing tones that will piss off your command.

Every Sniper I’ve had work for me in the past 5 years or so and as well as the two deployments to Iraq I’ve seen one watch more than most. Suunto makes a few different models but it’s the one most of the operators and guys I know use when they want a watch that can do it all and makes it back home after doing it. I’ve got 3 of them, the Core, XMi9, and the Ascent. I’ve also got a couple of lumi-nox watches that are amazing as well. I’ve also seen a lot of G-shocks in the infantry.
My personal choice is the Suunto Core.
