I honestly don’t …
I honestly don’t see the point of bashing the english dub. The original Japanese version is there for your leisure, but don’t go out nitpicking at a production that’s any less than your definitions of “perfect”. I listen and watch both dubs, and enjoy both thoroughly. If you find this annoying, then leave this production alone.

@RonGiz People like …
@RonGiz People like you are intolerable..
May I ask you something Ron? Do you speak / understand the Japanese language? If not, then how can you even begin to judge the Japanese audio? Let alone say it’s superior to listen to things you cannot comprehend and just read English words at the bottom of your screen.. ?
Any logic to be found in your statement fails to make it through to me right now.. could you please quote something from the Anime in Japanese? No, because you cannot remember it.

@rohannesburg if you watch Code Geass dont ever read any commets about it people love to spoil all the big plot parts. And if you like Eva and CG Gurren Lagann would probably appeal to you.

@SgtHydra The …
@SgtHydra The reason Eva kinda fell apart toward the end is Gainax started losing money didnt it? And hopefully rebuild gives less of a MINDFUCK!?!?$@%&#%)@*! ending than EoE.

@rohannesburg Eva …
@rohannesburg Eva is good, but towards the end of the original series it feels like a punch in the gut. Things fall apart, so to speak. Still very good, though. It’s ultimately a tragedy series, not a mech one.
Code Geass is similar to Eva, but only in that it isn’t a mech show even with the mechs. It’s Byronic tragedy, though it does indulge in quite a bit of straight mecha action. It’s good, but falls short 2nd season.
In any case, both seem to be “love it or hate it” shows. I like em, though.

I have the DVD …
I have the DVD already. The fight with Ramiel alone made it worth every penny. Forget trying to watch an online with quality, you have to see it in HD. It’s just… damn… you wish they had this sort of tech in the original series.
And on that note, I gotta say this: in my opinion, you can’t compare it to original series. It’s more than a reboot of the franchise, as it really feels as if it’s the next chapter…
I dunno… I kinda got “Higurashi” type vibes when it came to the end.

@Inufan20 Not sure so far. The first movie is just a recreation of the first 5 or so episodes. Even then its still really good. The makers promise it to be even better as the second movie comes out, which is soon. Not sure how soon.
