What is the best (and simplest!) way to make a replacement battery cover for a watch?

February 28th, 2010 | by admin |

My husband lost the battery cover on his old Tissot watch. It still runs great, but we need to figure out a good way to cover the battery to keep dirt/sweat/etc… out. I went to multiple jewelers, one of whom even sent the watch in to Tissot to try to get a replacement part. However they are unable to sell me a replacement cover. So… what is the best way to create my own cover so that my husband can start using the watch again? I don’t want him to have an excuse to be late anymore!!!

duct tape of course

Duct Tape, it will work and shoudl not look too too bad if you trim it right.

I’d use a piece of regular clear scotch tape. Then I’d cover that with the duct tape, just so people wouldn’t make fun of him.

Duct tape and a quarter. Michaels has colored duct tape now, so you can change the watch to match his clothes!
